About Me
Hello! My name is Boston Netterfield-Kline and I make comics about bodies. I’m a west-coast transplant living in Chicago, IL, where I am currently working toward a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Illustration at Columbia College Chicago. I create emotionally driven comics primarily concerned with queer experiences fueled by my fascination with intimacy, somatic memory, and the body as an interpersonal symbol. My preferred media are gouache and digital illustration, inspired by the likes of Sean Phillips and Lee Loughridge.
Comics were never far from reach as a kid, but it wasn’t until I started illustrating short stories by friends that I found how much I enjoy bringing others’ stories to life. I aspire to making comics that pull readers in, say something beautiful about being a person, and leave them more in love with the world than before.
